Grow Right’s Bryce Undy had the privilege to participate in the final workshop of the ACS (Australian Computer Society) Supporting Women Transitioning to an ICT Career, where we brought everyone together to celebrate the incredible journey of the participants over the past twelve months. Through ACS Learning Accelerator short courses, these talented individuals have learned the essentials and built a strong foundation in various tech subjects while honing their soft skills through coaching modules.
At Grow Right, we believe in supporting individuals from non-traditional ICT backgrounds as they transition into rewarding ICT careers. That’s why I volunteered to assist with CV reviews and was truly inspired by the dedication and passion of the program participants.
A big shout-out to our program mentors who provided unwavering support and encouragement throughout the program. Your guidance has played a pivotal role in empowering these aspiring professionals to reach their goals. We’d also like to express our gratitude to the volunteers who made the final event a resounding success, delivering excellent and experiential learning sessions by reviewing resumes and conducting mock interviews.
Lastly, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to Mark Harriott, Executive Branch Manager of Skills Canberra, ACT Government, for gracing the workshop’s closing ceremony. Your presence and the program certificate of completion to the participants truly highlighted the significance of this incredible initiative.
If you’re interested in becoming a mentor or mentee in ACS Canberra’s next round of the mentoring program (Aug 2023 – Jan 2024), seize this opportunity to make a meaningful impact. Register your interest here: https://lnkd.in/gFvu_eRy
